Evaluation of the Promotion of Junior Researchers 2023

Within the framework of the PhD quality assurance at KIT, KHYS sent out the invitations to participate in the KIT-wide surveys of doctoral students and supervisors. The questionnaires can be completed by the end of November. The surveys provide the most important data basis for improvements of the existing PhD structures and processes at KIT. A high response rate of completed questionnaires is a prerequisite to enable the derivation of quality assurance measures from the results. The KHYS therefore asks all respondents to participate in the surveys.

DAAD project successfully concluded

Within the framework of the DAAD program IPID4all KHYS implemented the Internationalization Program, which ran from November 2014 to June 2019 and included a wide variety of measures. The focus of the program was on the promotion of mobilities. During the course of the program, KHYS funded 289 journeys (incoming and outgoing) and thus was able to foster the internationalization of the doctoral research phase at KIT.

Recently the results of a research project at the Royal Holloway, University of London, were published in the renowned journal "Nature Physics". Das Seminar wurde zum ersten Mal im Sommersemester 2016 durchgeführt und von den/ der Teilmehmer/-innen sehr positiv bewertet. Ziel des Seminars ist es, Stressfaktoren zu erkennen und zu analysieren. Den Promovierenden werden Informationen, Methoden und Techniken zur Stressbewältigung vermittelt, die es ihnen ermöglichen, die vielfältigen Aufgaben und Anforderungen besser zu bewältigen und gelassener durch die Promotionsphase zu gehen. Das Seminar findet am 19.1., 02.02. und am 16.02.2017, von 8.30 bis 16.30 Uhr statt.
