KHYS Prompt Gallery - Call for Applications!
Exhibition
KHYS Foyer (building 30.96)
You use LLMs as a work tool and have developed prompts that really work? Then share your experiences in the KHYS PROMPT GALLERY!
In May we will exhibit proven use cases of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the KHYS building as a multi day poster gallery. The goal is to give early career researchers at the KIT new impulses for AI use and to encourage active experimentation in everyday work.
For this exhibition we are looking for contributions from you: tried and tested use cases of LLMs, shown via the associated prompts or instructions for task specific chatbots. Prompts and chatbots from all of your work contexts are welcome – research, administration, teaching, you name it. It does not matter whether your prompt eases a tiny manual step or supports a complex workflow. The aim is to make a wide range of application ideas visible.
Here you have the chance to demonstrate how professional and creative LLM use can look and to help your peers redesign their own daily work.
If you want to contribute, the first step would be to complete a brief online submission form. There, you can submit your prompt (together with some contextual information)*:
https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/dn9rBNeErT
(You can change the language to English in the top right corner)
We collect proposals until March 30 (12 pm), 2026.
If you’re invited to showcase your LLM use, we will get in touch with you in the first week of April. We will then ask you to provide some more information for the final poster (probably due by April 12). Also, it would be great if you were willing to participate in the opening event of the gallery. (The vernissage is currently scheduled for May 5th).
We also want to assure you that we will keep your further involvement in producing the exhibition materials to a minimum. The posters will, of course, be designed and printed by us.
* (Using the form requires access to Microsoft365 as provided by KIT. Since this is a rather recent service, you might register for that service at a SCC-site beforehand. In case you encounter substantial difficulties, please get in touch with us and we provide with a more „old school“ submission document.)

KHYS: Offene Sprechstunde zur Beratung/Open consultation hours
Geb. 30.96, Raum 116

Junior researchers face different challenges in their research period. These can lead to conflicts, for example concerning the supervising relationship, within a working group, regarding financing issues, or concerning self-structured working. This challenging phase can also lead to personal problems. Should you find yourself in such or similar situations, you can find support at various advisory offices at KIT. For an overview please refer to our website: https://www.khys.kit.edu/english/advisory-offices.php.
KHYS offers open consultation hours in principle every Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. There you can safely discuss your situation. During this initial consultation, we offer information and advice on how to deal with challenging situations and conflicts. If applicable, we will refer you to other advisory offices. You are also welcome to make an appointment (also for an MS Teams meeting). Jutta Klein-Hitpaß will be happy to answer any questions you may have or to offer you an appointment.

After the workshop you will be able to:
Plan and manage projects systematically by defining clear objectives, planning scope, resources, time and analysing stakeholders and risks Understand and implement the project life cycle including roles, activities, milestones, communication, risk management, work breakdown structure and project control Differentiate between classic, agile and hybrid project management approaches Identify typical pitfalls and apply suitable solutions Use relevant online project management tools
The workshop is practice-oriented, experience-based and interactive. All phases of project management are worked through using examples, and there is space for individual exchange of experiences.
You will leave the workshop with a practical toolkit for professional project management in science and beyond.
Please note: In addition to this workshop, KHYS offers other project management courses with different focal points, which may overlap in terms of content:
Getting Started. Managing your Dissertation Project Successfully Project Management for Research Projects Projektmanagement in der Industrie Agile Project Management (for advanced learners with prior knowledge in project management basics)

Basics of Leadership (Two-day) [On-site Workshop]
Workshop

Bldg. 30.96, seminar room 006 (ground floor) …
Carola Pachunke, Training – Coaching – Mindfulness
The event will be held in English and run for two days, on April 16 and 17, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each.
As a young researcher, you often take on leadership tasks for the first time – in your current position or in the course of your next career step. Being new to a leadership role can be challenging in itself while experiences might differ in terms of gender and personality.
This workshop will support you as a young leader to build a good understanding of what it means to establish a successful leadership style. Motivation, flexibility and transparency regarding communication and delegation are key factors to meet the demands of your role as a leader. An awareness of your inner attitude, self-reflection and a conscious development of your role with its various conditions help to create value in a positive and sustainable manner.
Which mindset enables you to fulfill the role as a leader convincingly? What are your expectations of your team members and what are their expectations of you as a leader? Where do you find yourself in terms of “command and control” versus “confidence in the ability of your members to organize themselves” and fulfill their tasks? Alongside these general leadership topics, it will be helpful to discuss if there are specific challenges or chances as a female or male leader and how to deal with them.
We will explore the following contents:
• Basics of Leadership
• Mindful Leadership
• Management by objectives
• 4 roles of effective leadership and their principles
• Agile Leadership
• Skillful Delegation
• Identification of your key traits and values as a leader
• Gender-specific aspects of Leadership
There will be short inputs, group discussions, exercises, exploration of challenging leadership situations and reflection of your personal leadership style.
