How Can I Become a Postdoc at KIT?

The formal prerequisite for a postdoc phase at KIT is a good to very good doctorate in the targeted subject area. Your scientific profile is more attractive if it includes a relevant list of publications as well as qualifications and knowledge, e.g. in the fields of teaching, methodological competence, supervision of employees and project management. Stays abroad and work experience in other scientific or research institutions are advantageous.

  • consult the ▶ List of Job Offers
  • contact a KIT scientist/researcher among the research group leaders, junior professors, or professors in your field directly and either inquire about open postdoc positions or apply unsolicited. More information on KIT’s scientific organization can be found ▶ here.
Information for Successful Contact and Application:

Please make sure that your inquiry is as precise as possible. If you respond to a job ad, read it carefully and include the requirements specified in the job ad in your application.
