Orientation and Career Events for Postdocs
The KHYS Postdoc Office offers events at regular intervals on topics that are specifically tailored to the postdoc phase. This way you have optimal orientation from the very start while, at the same time, establishing valuable contacts with the invited guests and speakers as well as other postdocs.
At the Career Day the KHYS Postdoc Office informs about career paths for postdocs with its colleagues from other Helmholtz Centres. This year, the event is going to take place under the motto "Transition Possible" and will focus on occupations for postdocs outside the academia. Postdoc: Yes or No?
Are you a doctoral candidate who considers doing a postdoc phase after the completion of your PhD to take the next step in the academia? In order to help you with your decision making, this ▶ workshop examines the general framework of the postdoc phase at KIT. Also, experienced junior scientists will answer your questions. Please note that these workshops will take place in German only.
Welcome Event for Postdocs
We invite all new postdocs to the ▶ Welcome Event for the best possible start. At this event, you can find out more about the postdoc phase at KIT and also which support and further qualification offers are available at KHYS. In the subsequent get-together you can meet other postdocs in a relaxed atmosphere.
KHYS Postdoc Days
The ▶ KHYS-Foyergespräche provide the framework for an interfacultative meeting of doctoral students and postdocs on topics that are of particular interest to young scientists and early-career researchers. In a joint dialog, personalities from science, economy and politics offer insights into practical situations and orientation assistance. The exchange of personal experiences is in the foreground. Following the rounds of talks, you will have the opportunity to make valuable contacts with speakers and participants during a pleasant get-together.
