The techniques suggested in the course will be valuable whether you are planning a career in academia or exploring a variety of alternative career options.

The aims of this course are to help you:

  • Understand the skills you have and how to market them to employers
  • Begin developing your own career plan.

Interviews throughout the course will give you the opportunity to draw on the experience and advice of researchers who have gone on to forge successful academic and non-academic careers, in addition to employers who will explain what they look for when recruiting Ph.D. and postdoctoral researchers.
