[ONLINE-SEMINAR] Managing Projects. An introduction to basic skills and tools (two-day)

The workshop will be held in English and run for two days, on May 4 and 5, 2021.

 

It is difficult to meet job expectations without having mastered at least basic project management skills – no matter whether you work in industry or in science and research. Project management skills are required in many different fields and will be helpful in organizing your own scientific project. The workshop Managing Projects aims at persons with no or little knowledge in project management. It introduces to basic tools and terms, includes case studies, IT-tools and a glimpse of new trends such as agile project management. Participants will be actively involved and work on different tasks throughout the workshop.

  • Starting and organizing projects
  • Project planning
  • Preparing for risks
  • Calculation and control
  • Recent approaches: Agile Project Management

 

The workshop will be held in English and run for two days, on May 4 and 5, 2021.

 

Technical requirements: To participate in this workshop, you need a stable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Participants will receive further detailed information regarding the online-platform prior to the workshop.

 

This workshop is open to doctoral researchers and postdocs at KIT who are KHYS members.
