Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS) offers refunds for participation fees for doctoral researchers and postdocs who regularly attend German classes in the summer semester 2024. Please find all information about who is eligible for the refund and how to apply on our website.

Application Process for the Refund Program
You can apply here via our event calendar. Please make sure that you have chosen your course level and that you have taken the online placement test recommended for the course (if necessary) before applying for the refund. Deadline for the application for the refund program at KHYS is March 27, 2024.

For successful applicants the process will be as follows:
KHYS will inform all applicants of the outcome of their application until April 5, 2024. If your application for the refund is successful, please do not forget to register for the German course you have chosen at Studienkolleg at the beginning of the semester.

KHYS will only make the refund if you have regularly participated in the course (at least 80% of the course hours). Therefore, you will have to show a certificate of attendance. After the course has ended, KHYS will ask you to hand in all necessary documents and information in order to process the payment for the refund.
