This course will help you develop a grounding in value-based, ethically-sound research. It explores ethical values, challenges and decision-making, as well as the practical application of ethics during a research project. Packed full of interactive activities, this course will support you in dealing with ethical challenges typically occurring in many research projects.

Ethical Research consists of two cross-disciplinary modules:

• Becoming an Ethical Researcher examines the fundamental principles of research ethics, covering ethical values, decision-making, and challenges through explanatory diagrams and animations, engaging examples and activities, and thought-provoking polls.
• Research Ethics in Practice explores the practical applications of ethics during a research project, including working with human participants, approvals, confidentiality, and consent, via authentic video interviews, scenario-based activities, and case studies

Duration of this course: 110 min

The indicated course duration refers to the pure review of the learning content. Please plan additional time for working on exercises and transfer tasks.

This e-learning course is being offered in a self-learning format. You therefore have the option to begin at any time convenient to you and work through it at your own pace.
