You are an expert in your field and you are doing a great job. Nevertheless you may find it difficult to promote your own achievements to important others, such as potential employers. Your ability to market yourself and your expertise is not only important to the job search process, it also is critical to the advancement and development of your career. Being authentic in self marketing is the uppermost maxim, in the end. You want to express yourself confidently and do so in a way that is consistent with your personality. Objectives In this workshop you will find out more about your strengths and learn how to convince others of your abilities. Furthermore you will learn about job search strategies and how to find and get the job you really want. Content We will put a special focus on the job search process and address the following questions: • How do I best exploit my potential? • What are my strengths and how can I develop an individual qualification profile? • What are my career options and how do I develop my job search strategy? • How can I market my abilities more successfully and remain authentic? • How relevant are contacts and networking? • How do I prepare successfully for interviews? • What is my market value and how can I increase this? • How do I negotiate for salary and other aspects of the job package?
