KIT-PhD-Symposium

KIT PhD Symposium

The symposium is organized for KIT doctoral researchers by KIT doctoral researchers and is supported and promoted by the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS).

The KIT PhD Symposium is conceived as a training platform for doctoral researchers. It is held in English and all doctoral researchers from all areas of competence are welcome to participate.

The special aspect of this symposium is the fact that the talks and posters are evaluated by both experts in the field and rhetoricians. The doctoral researchers receive feedback regarding their presentation technique and the appearance of their posters, which they can use to improve their skills. This kind of feedback is not available at other conventional symposium. Additionally, the KIT PhD Symposium serves as an opportunity to enhance networking between doctoral researchers from Campus North and Campus South.

The KIT PhD Symposium takes place roughly every 18 months. The next KIT PhD Symposium is expected to take place at the end of March 2012.

The KHYS is financing the implementation of the KIT PhD Symposium, which will take place in spring 2012, and is pleased to provide you and your team with assistance at any time. In addition, a starter workshop will effectively train the organizing team in project management, time management, event organization and team building.
