The first KIT PhD Symposium will be held on March 18th, 2009 at Campus South in building 10.50 (Programme). The Symposium is targeted towards PhD students looking to practice their presentation and communication skills in English in front of a larger audience. It is not necessary for the participant to have results for presentation; methods and processes are also encouraged. Supported by experts, this is an excellent structure for conference preparation and the possibility of networking within KIT. It provides an opportunity to gain not only an overview of the different research fields and activities within KIT, but also to expand the PhD students’ horizons beyond their own specific discipline.

The motto “Broaden your horizons” supports this vision of the broad spectrum of activities within KIT.
