"My Research Data and I", Part 1 – Basics of Research Data Management [ONLINE-SEMINAR]

Tuesday, 04 October 2022, 12:00-13:30
online

The workshop will be held in English.

Handling research data is an essential part of any scientific research project. A systematic approach to data collection, reuse and analysis, as well as to data storage and accessibility, is one of the basic principles of good research data management (RDM) and good scientific practice.

The lecture gives an introduction on the topic of research data management: While presenting the various aspects and core areas of RDM with their pertinent termini, you will gain a first insight into a structured approach for your research project. You will also learn about some tools that can support you in this process – from planning to processing or collaborative editing to improving the visibility and impact of research data by publishing them. In this context, the Serviceteam RDM@KIT outlines its current offers, services and support.

Deepen your knowledge! An advanced training course focusing on the practical application of RDM ("My research data and I", Part 2 – Tools and Services at KIT) will take place on October 5, 2022. Register now!

Apart from that, the Serviceteam RDM@KIT is happy to offer further in-depth training on request on any of the presented topics. Feedback on this is more than welcome (via e-mail to contact(at)rdm.kit.edu).

This workshop is open to doctoral researchers and postdocs at KIT who are KHYS members.

The workshop will be held in English.
