The workshop will be held in English.

 

This introductory workshop to research funding provides an overview of the German and European research funding landscape. It focuses on funding opportunities available at the early to advanced postdoctoral stage and how to approach them.

 

By participating in workshop, participants will be better equipped to

  • recognise the opportunities and challenges associated with external research funding,
  • understand what makes a fundable research project,
  • identify funding opportunities for different research settings,
  • respond more effectively to the competitive nature of the evaluation process,
  • build a research grant track record.

 

Methods

This compact workshop employs theory input, plenary discussions, individual and small group work as well as expert advice.

 

Eligibility: Since this event is organised by the KHYS Postdoc Office, postdocs (who are members of KHYS) will have priority for attending. Doctoral researchers, however, can still register and will be offered a spot if not all places are taken.

Technical requirements: To participate in this workshop, you need a stable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Participants will receive further detailed information regarding the online-platform prior to the workshop.
