[CANCELED] Become visible and be remembered – self-marketing for the career of your dreams (two-day)

Donnerstag, 10. Dezember 2020, 0:00-0:00
tbd

The first step on the way to your dream job is to convince those people who make personnel decisions of you and your qualities. A concise self-presentation, which authentically conveys your personality, helps to leave a lasting impression and to stand out from competitors in the application process.

But how do I achieve an effect with my counterpart? How do I manage to build up a lasting interest in my person?

In this workshop you will develop a marketing plan for your future career. To do this, you will first work out your unique selling points and your personal career goals. Based on this, you will examine career options and identify the target groups to be convinced. Feedback from the other participants on your self-marketing plan will enable you to refine your strategies even further.

Please note: There will be an online introduction with preparatory documents 14 days before the face-to-face workshop (November 27, 2020, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.). The documents will help you to focus on your personal goals, determine your position and prepare intensively for the workshop.

Technical requirements: To participate in the online introduction of the workshop, you need a stable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Participants will receive further detailed information regarding the online-platform prior to the online introduction.

This workshop is open to postdocs and people interessted in becoming a postdoc at KIT who are KHYS members.
