Tuesday, June 30, 2015 | 6-7:30 p.m. with subsequent get-together Welcome to Baden-Württemberg! The first KHYS Career Talk aims at KIT doctoral researchers who would like to find out more about career opportunities and resources in Baden-Württemberg which is a state that is particularly strong in research. The event is staged in cooperation with the International Students Office (IStO) and the International Scholars & Welcome Office (IScO) at KIT. The speaker will be Daniel Holder from Baden-Württemberg International which is Baden-Württemberg’s competence center for the internationalization of business, science and research. In his presentation Mr. Holder will give an overview of Baden-Württemberg as a research and business location and talk about career options in science and industry. The following topics will be addressed: • Baden-Württemberg as a research and business location • Funding programs and initiatives e.g. for start-ups and young scientists • Labor market perspectives in research and development Following the one-hour presentation the floor will be opened for questions from the audience. The event will be rounded out with a get-together which will give participants an opportunity to network.
