Peer-coaching for postdocs

Tuesday, 23 July 2019, 9:00-13:00
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)
Bldg. 30.96, seminar room 104

Doing a postdoctorate can be a challenging experience. On the one hand, initiating and completing research projects autonomously can be challenging. On the other hand, postdocs often have further responsibilities (e.g. publishing, teaching, administrative work) that interfere with their scientific work. Furthermore, uncertainties about their further career might induce worries or frustrations. Often, figuring out alone how to resolve such challenges and how to best approach this multitude of roles consumes considerable time or leaves individuals stuck.

Peer-coaching is a format for consultation, in which individuals in a similar situation learn from each other’s experiences. By discussing the challenges of your situation in a structured format and a trustful environment with other postdoctoral researchers, you can gain valuable insights and ideas for resolving a current challenge from your work-context.

The coaching will be held in English.

This coaching is open to postdoctoral researchers at KIT who are KHYS members.
