Workshop

Intercultural Awareness and Sensitive Communication

Thursday, 12 October 2017, 9:00-17:00
Building 10.81, room 219.1
Campus South

The participants will be intercultural sensitized, explore their own limits and are invited to expand them.

During the training we focus on the diversity of values across cultures. For a better under-standing we have to step into the shoes of others. Creating more empathy eases working in multinational groups and being aware of different working methods.

Participants acquire intercultural competence in addition to their high professional expertise. They understand what "cultural shock" means and what surprises they might face.

Decoding different styles of communication and behaviors will be included via simulation exercises and will be part of an active learning style. Everyone is invited to contribute actively, the more the better. Let’s get started!
