The Second KIT Doctoral Researcher Survey Spring 2013

The quality management and improvement of the doctoral research period at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is one of the main duties of the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS). In the course of this task we will carry out the second doctoral researcher survey at the KIT in cooperation with the Quality Management Office and on behalf of the KIT Presidential Committee. Aim of the survey is to get an up-to-date review of the doctoral researchers‘ working conditions and their satisfaction regarding the supervision, financing and the overall situation.

We are looking forward to your participation and support!

FAQ

Who is the target group of the survey?

The survey is addressed to every KIT doctoral researcher who will take their exams at a KIT faculty or whose centre of research is at KIT (and take their exams at a different university as the case may be).

How does the survey work?

The survey is carried out in writing and anonymously. The questionnaires will reach you in different ways, for instance via the administration office of your institute. After having received the questionnaire you are supposed to send the completed documents back to the KHYS in using the self-addressed envelope and the KIT inhouse mail (or the Federal Post Office as the case may be).

Do you want to request one or more questionnaires?

You have the possibility to request copies in English or German online. We will send them to you immediately.

By when will the survey be open?

You can submit the completed questionnaires until July 14th.

How will I get to know about the results?

The results of the survey will be submitted to the chair in summer. They will be published in the intranet by the beginning of the winter term the latest. Members of the KHYS Network will be given the information via email, however we will use different KIT media as well.

Where can I look up the results of the first survey from 2010?

These are hold available in the intranet.

Who can I turn to if I have further questions?

In this case please get in contact with Gabriele Gregolec.
